Long Branch Bowling Team Sweeps Freehold In Three Games

Now Suit in Auto Case in Freehold Court
A nonsuit was granted in a suit before Judge Nelson Y. Dungd at Freehold in favor of M. W. and C. Pennypacker of Asbury Park. George Leonard of Belmar claimed the Pennypackers promised him the automobile prize for a $750 paper-contest entry in 1910. Leonard testified he paid the money but received no car or paper copy, while the Pennypackers later used the auto themselves. The day-long trial featured witnesses including the Leonards, Herbert Stewart, Pemberton Dudley, and others, with Thomas P. Fay arguing for the Pennypackers and ex-Judge W. A. Heisley for Leonard.
