Marie A. Ravere, thirteen, of New York City, obtained a license in Long Branch after a legal opinion. She had disappeared from school February 9, and a note to her parents a week later said she and a youth who had run away planned marriage.

City Clerk Scully issued a marriage license to Marie Raviere, age thirteen, after consulting the assistant corporation counsel. The groom, Joseph Rubino, is 21. Raviere had disappeared days earlier with Rubino. the parents provided written consent after learning of the planned marriage.

Captain Borden W. Sanford of Eatontown dies at 83 or 84 after his wife passed pneumonia last week. He retired from active service in 1910 and had 28 years with Merchants Steamship Company, previously piloting ferries on the Rust and North River.
