Christmas Mail Handled Here At Local Post Office
The local post office processed about two hundred thousand pieces of mail in the week ending Christmas Day. Sales of 34000 one cent stamps and 15000 two cent stamps totaled 1051 dollars. Added staff including carrier Benj Woolley and two extra clerks aided the rush. Four extra carriers supported deliveries with no mail held over all week. Postmaster Woolley praised the prompt service and expects no extra help needed before New Year’s.
