The Lyceum is rented for the last Monday night in January with Prof J Pitman West's orchestra providing music. A note on local turkey scarcity leads to the annual First Presbyterian Church turkey supper tomorrow evening from 5 30 to 8 00. Santa visits Red Bank children in yearly charity ride

Tomorrow the annual Santa visitation returns under Joseph Salz with Lou Tetley as Santa Claus. Tetley will ride in a candy filled car donated by Salz and will personally hand out gifts in front of the Record office around noon. Patrolman Lippincott Fatally Shot in Asbury Park

Patrolman Charles Lippincott was shot and killed at 11 45 last night during an attempted domestic disturbance call at the Clayton home on Prospect avenue. Officer George Miller struggled with the suspect Charles Clayton, who was arrested after a brief fight and jailed with Coroner Bennett to conduct the inquest. Clayton, a vegetable peddler with a prior wife beating sentence, has a wife and two children. The fallen officer, 38, lived with his wife and two children on Fifth avenue and was a member of the Patrolmen Benevolent Association.

New Police Assignments Set by Mayor Packer

Mayor E W Packer issued new police assignments dividing the city into fourteen patrol districts. The order, effective yesterday, sets day and night shifts with two officers per post where possible and rotation when two share a post.
