Former Freehold Man Dead Died of pneumonia after long New York residency

Charles Edward Magee aged man from Freehold died Saturday from pneumonia. He lived sixty years in New York and is survived by two daughters and two sons. Elks Jubilee Vaudeville A Bustling Night Of Laughs

The St Luke's M E Church Ladies Aid Society hosts a three day bazar starting tomorrow with religious services and supper hours 6 30 to 8 30 each night. Booths are richly decorated, with Christmas goods and music. Santa Claus visits arrive via Joseph Salz and Lou Tetley, with gifts for children and visitors from nearby towns. Mrs Charles Morris leads the society and hopes to surpass the usual thousand dollar proceeds.

Horse Seized and Livery Stable Ahead of Possible Euthanization

Eight Police Court agents seized an old horse from Benna Mazza of John Street after society complaints. The horse is at Clayton's livery stable and may be shot. Mazza offered to surrender the animal to the society to avoid prosecution. Arthur Huff Jr of Leighton Avenue Red Bank, father of eleven year old Arthur Huff, was placed under a $100 bond to care for his son after admitting involvement in eight or nine borough burglaries. Huff appeared before Judge John E Foster at Freehold and was released to probation officer W W Ramsay of Keansburg. The judge advised bond to ensure care of the son. A complaint alleged the elder Huff allowed his son to roam the borough, with county detective Elwood Minagh presenting the case to Justice Edward W Wise, who set $100 bond, posted by Edward M Haley. A chicken supper was served by men for 50 cents, with sale editions on Thursday and Friday offering Christmas gifts.
