Roosevelt arrived amid a fierce storm in Osawatomie Kansas at 9 25 am and received a huge reception. In a later address he sketched his platform and effectively declared his bid for president. Boy Hit By Auto Likely To Die In Nutley Ocean Grove
Hartley Clements seven years old son of W H Clements Nutley N J was seriously hurt by an automobile at Ocean Grove and lies in a critical condition with a fractured skull. The car was owned by Frank K Thompson of Philadelphia and driven by Charles Burton, a chauffeur. Witnesses said the boy ran into the road and there was no time to avoid the collision.

Highlands Carnival Opens With Three Day Festivities
Highlands prepares for a grand three day carnival with decorated stores, hotels, and homes. A parade of business men and floats opens tomorrow at 1 30 pm followed by the crowning of the queen at Twin Light rink. Friday features a cross country run and a children's parade. Spectators will view most of the 21 mile race from the rink and Bay Avenue end.
