Car Struck By Lightning On Monmouth Line
During an electrical storm at Red Bank on Friday the trolley pole of car No 18 on the Monmouth County line was struck by lightning. Motorman Ernest Burr received a slight shock and the magnet box burned out. The car was moved to the Shrewsbury carhouse and a second car used.

Boy Accidentally Shot at Sea Bright by Compatriot
John Coffer a 16 year old Sea Bright resident was shot in the leg around 1 PM by Alfred Applegate who said the act was accidental while handling a revolver. The weapon discharged as Applegate loaded it with two bullets from his pocket. Coffer was taken to a local hospital and his condition monitored.

Boy Run Down by Auto in Ocean Grove
