Jail entry for Coleman amid Parker farm robberies

Coleman a 25 year old colored man was held to await grand jury action after being found by a Parker farm worker sleeping in a wagon house wagon. Police and local officials arrested him at City Hall with bail set at $500. He claimed he slept there due to having no other place to go. Mrs Sweeney Dies on Goth Birthday

Katherine W. Sweeney mother of Sea Bright Councilman Thomas J. Sweeney died last night at White Plains New Jersey at five minutes to eleven. Born August 21 1825 she lived four generations of her family and had recently begun an automobile trip on her birthday. The obituary notes her health was good prior to illness.

Anti suffragists prepare to rally at Asbury Park

Trenton, Aug 22 The New Jersey Association Opposed to Woman's Suffrage announces a mass meeting in Asbury Park tonight at the Auditorium. Speakers include Hon John A Matthews of Newark and Mrs O D Oliphant of the city. Matthews is an Independent Democratic candidate for Senator from Beasex County.

Queen's Coronation Dress Rehearsal at Opera House

A full dress rehearsal for the queen of the dollies and her court was held this afternoon at the Opera House under Actor Joseph Mitchell. The performance attracted all the little participants and spectators from all stands. The coronation is planned for Monday night at the Opera House.

Two Injured in Brighton and Westwood Car Collision

Milton Goldstein and Maz Levy were hurt in a mobile collision at the Brighton and Westwood avenues intersection. Goldstein suffered shoulder and neck injuries with bruising. Levy had a severe scalp wound requiring stitches and facial injuries. Dr. Shaw will perform an X ray on Goldstein. Both men were taken to the hospital by bystanders after the wreckage was cleared.

Mary Hines Dies Sudden at Suaty Home

Mrs. Mary Hines widow of John Hines and daughter of William and Mary Ennis died suddenly at her corner Fifth avenue and Halberton street home at 7 this morning. Aged 60, born in Dublin, she came to Long Branch as a child. Rheumatic heart condition led to death. nine children survive. Funeral Director William H. Morris Jr. in charge.

William McCreery, 24, son of Mr and Mrs James McCreery of Oceanport, drowned yesterday afternoon. The accident occurred around three o'clock as a strong current swept toward a boat beach, and the victim was identified after initial uncertainty.
