Man Hit by Train Dies at Keyport Crossing

William Wilson aged 37 of Keansburg died after a Jersey Central passenger train struck his car at Stone Road crossing Keyport He died at Monmouth Memorial Hospital after being taken from the wreckage Wilson and James O Reilly had purchased a car twenty minutes earlier Wilson was said to have attempted crossing the tracks at high speed The train under Engineer William Milew and Conductor George Allen stopped the wreckage was cleared and Wilson died of severe injuries The coroner will hold an inquest later and a jury will view the scene.
