Hollywood Polo and Racing Association schedules two day meet for Saturday September 3 and Monday September 5 at the Horse Show grounds. Prize lists circulate by Charles J. Kroener Store Sold to Wellworth Operator

Isaac Volovich owner of The Wellworth five and ten cent store has bought the Kroener Broadway property from Park Commissioner Henry Kroener. Scheuer & Bro. now lease the building as a grocery. The purchase price is not public but rumored above 25 thousand dollars. The Kroener block is a premier business site in the city. The lease to Scheuer & Bro. runs to mid September.

Thursday afternoon a fishing party from High lands led by William Ferguson, joined by John Ferguson and Emil Mussell, fished in the launch Ada D for two hours and landed more than 100 pounds of fluke and twenty five large weak fish.

Plumbers Meet Elects Delegates for National Session

State Vice President Frank Garriel and Charles Reeves of local 948 attended the New Jersey State Association of Journeymen Plumbers meeting in Elisabeth. Garriel, like President Devine, was chosen as a delegate to the national gathering in St. Paul Minnesota in September 1922. Garriel will represent the local union at the convention and seek to secure the 1911 convention for Long Branch. Samuel Batley Jr. of Yonkers is visiting Port Monmouth, returning after 32 years away to see changes such as railroads, trolleys, telegraphs, phones, lights, roads, houses, and schools.
