Deputy Stratton Honored for Monmouth County Tour

Keyport House Fire After Nighttime Escape

A Keyport resident, Benjamin Bush, awakened by smoke, escaped with a ladder assistance as the house collapsed. The lower floor burned, contents lost, estimated $2,100 damage. Disorderly conduct leads to mixed fines in local court

Patrolman Harvey Wednesday rested Marsillis Cannon for acting disorderly on Ocean avenue and fined him $10 in the Recorder's court. Ud Wederman and Henry Petties quarreled. Petties, the complainant, was fined $10 and the defendant $15 after Recorder Van Doren heard the evidence.

Remains of Emil Schwarz to be cremated after death by own action

Emil Schwarz of Highlands died by his own hand Saturday afternoon. The body was taken to Hoboken Tuesday for cremation arrangements. Many claim the elderly man was driven to suicide by the raid on Mrs. Schwarz’s home.

Hold Shoot at Long Branch Gun Club on Golf Street

Robbers raid Pleasure Bay area on river carnival night

Morris avenue burglars entered Lars H Schultz living suites and Meyer cottage by window, stealing jewelry while residents attended Pleasure Bay river carnival.
