Live Poliovirus Found In Cutter Vaccine Lots
The Health Service announced tests of Salk polio vaccine from Cutter Laboratories show live virus type 1 in all six suspect lots, with type 2 in one lot and type 3 in two others. A seventh lot contained types 2 and 3 but likely did not cause poliomyelitis. No Cutter vaccine has been released since last April’s recall.
