San Pedro Woman Sentenced for Car Fire
Vera Belle Malley, 38, formerly of 2724 Dennison Ave, was sentenced to one to three years in state prison for setting fire to a car owned by her boyfriend’s brother. She admitted throwing lit matches into the front seat after a dispute, causing $587.43 in damage. the fire was subdued by the boyfriend and his brother with a garden hose. Superior Judge Roy Raycraft denied probation.
