Picture of Long Beach in 1903 on Fourth and Pine

In a Long Beach reminiscence a 1903 photo shows Mrs Primo’s apartment building at Fourth Street and Pine Avenue with tenants posing on the front porch. Jay P. Hill, then a Mason City boy, stood with his tricycle before the camera as the Hills later moved to Northern California and Hill became a resort cabin owner in Lake Tahoe. Now adults, Hill and Mrs. Golda Williams recalled the town’s early days after meeting in Lake Tahoe and Hill urged the photo’s return to Long Beach for local nostalgia.
