Shelley proposes fast track federal pay raises for blue collar workers
Rep John F Shelley introduced a bill to accelerate wage hikes for government workers in shipyards military installations and related industries. The measure would apply to about 39000 Bay Area employees plus others at Long Beach Naval Shipyard Seal Beach Naval Ammunition Depot and more. It would implement wage board increases within 30 days after surveys and extend to all per diem salaried employees under wage board jurisdiction.
