Nursery Donations Highlight Community Support for Day Nursery
Long Beach area gifts totaling 250 dollars from Fred W. Herman Memorial Funds bolster the Day Nursery, a Community Chest agency with nurseries on Spaulding Street Plymouth Street and Chestnut Avenue. Mrs Herman praised the nurturing environment for deprived children as volunteers and groups contribute clothing toys art supplies and cash. A two day chaplains training conference is planned for Fort MacArthur on April 24 and 25.
