Graystark Tale Behind Hungarian Princess Guardianship
In San Francisco on April 2 Catherine Lorraine a 42 year old part time department store worker signed as guardian for two Hungarian princesses aged 10 and 32. Attorney Jerome Politzer presented the petition to the Superior Court of California claiming the children are the legal offspring of Archduke Albrecht of the House of Hapsburg Lorain and his former wife. The action aims to establish the princesses’ potential future claims to Albrecht’s European states and background for international support of his obligations. The case unfolds as a Graustarklike tale with the archduke’s possible political ambitions entwined in custody and international responsibility.
