Mobile home of officer criticized in Orcutt area
California highway patrol officer Phil Eskridge faces a required move or alteration of a $20 000 mobile home after a conditional use permit was granted then revoked by the County. The Board of Supervisors postponed the appeal to Oct 26 to assess compliance with building codes and agricultural use conditions on a 10 acre parcel at 5770 Stillwell Rd. Eskridge, a full time CHP officer, opposes the decision while neighbors fear property devaluation and water issues from salt water intrusion affecting the Union Oil supplied supply.
