Canadian seeks extradition decision in wild Canada theft case

Berkhard Bateman a 19 year old Ontario youth faces an extradition hearing in Seattle after kidnapping charges tied to a bank robbery and sailboat hijacking. U S officials may drop charges if he waives extradition and returns to Canada where he is held on 6000 dollar bail. The getaway involved a bank robbery, hostage taking, a 22 foot sailboat and a Coast Guard intercept. No serious injuries reported.
