Fatal Crosswalk Crash Kills Lompoc Mother

A 35 year old Lompoc mother Joyce Comaduran died in Lompoc Hospital after she and her eight year old daughter were hit by a car crossing North H Street. The driver Ralph Waldo Banard 41 of Mission Hills faces a felony drunk driving charge with bail set at 4368. The daughter sustained a fractured leg and possible concussion. Police say the pair were struck near Laurel Avenue and H Street shortly before 10 p.m. Saturday. Funeral arrangements are pending in Santa Maria.
