Republican Womens Club hears Assemblyman’s wife at Lompoc event

Mrs. Don MacGillivray wife of Assemblyman MacGillivray spoke to 220 women from 398 clubs at the Lompoc Valley Republican Women’s Club luncheon. She discussed balancing homes in Sacramento and Santa Barbara, turnout from a recent voter questionnaire, and the Anaheim state convention. guests included Donald Lukens Reagan and local officers presented with a bronze club award. Delegates to Santa Barbara County Convention were named with nominations for Santa Barbara County officers and Southern Division delegates.

Community Concerts drive membership campaign opens in Lompoc

The 22nd annual Lompoc Community Concerts Association membership drive began with headquarters at Braun's Pharmacy. Local secretary Mrs Solovsky and field representative Roy Cooper led the campaign while the kick-off at the Lompoc Library featured program notes by Earl Calvert and guest performers including Stephen Lott Muriel Sumter Clyde Davis and Chris Parkening. Memberships cost nine dollars for adults and four fifty for students with home service options for those unable to visit headquarters.

Mission Viejo 4 H Enrolls Sixty One Members

Mission Viejo 4 H Club enrolled 61 members at a recent community meeting with 18 new members joining and 43 returning youths. Calls to Mrs Huyck or Mrs Ma chado invited additional participants and leaders. Next gathering is October potluck for members and families. Miss Marjorie McClure Weds Robert J. Dial in Santa Barbara

Miss Marjorie Ann McClure and Robert Joe Dial were married Sunday at St. Mary's Episcopal Church in a double ring ceremony officiated by Rev. Stuart G. Fitch. The bride, daughter of Col. and Mrs. Robert D. McClure, wore a white empire gown with lace and pearls. the couple plans residence in Santa Barbara.

West Dutra wedding reception honors newlyweds in Lompoc

The reception for Mr. and Mrs. John W. West, nee Rosemary Dutra, followed their August 29 Las Vegas marriage. About 100 guests attended at Lompoc Grange Hall with a four tier yellow and white cake by the bride’s aunt. The couple, both 1968 Lompoc High graduates, planned futures in business and agriculture, living at 530 San Pascal, Santa Barbara.
