Sargent Valade dies in Vandenberg one car crash at base

Air Force sergeant Robert L. Valade, 21, of the 6596th Instrumentation Squadron, was killed early today when his car struck the Vandenberg El Rancho Road bridge on the Western Test Range. Investigators seek the cause as Valade reportedly drove home to a base trailer park after a night shift.

Tennis priority set by Lompoc commission for Ryan Park courts

The Lompoc Parks and Recreation Commission voted 4 to 2 to place Ryan Park tennis courts as the top priority and table other items for the Oct 14 joint dinner with the city council.
