VAFB Hears Plans for 1973 74 Combined Federal Campaign

Maj. Gen. John W. Pauly and Col. Walter A. Carter Jr. met with Col. Robert M. Robinson to finalize dates and goals for the Vandenberg AFB CFC. The drive runs Sept 24 to Nov 2 with a Sept 24 rally at 4 p.m. in front of the Main Base Exchange and targets $82,645 via payroll withholding, surpassing last year’s $78,934 record.

California Legislature Approves New Capitol Plan

The legislature passed AB2572 to clear the way for a new Capitol building and possible abandonment of the old golden-domed West Wing after studies warned it could collapse in a moderate earthquake.
