Assembly OKs equal control bill for California couples

The California Assembly approved SB569 granting wives equal management of community property with husbands. The measure, by Sen. Mervyn H. Dymally, passed 66 to 0 and moves back to the Senate for concurrence as part of a set of three women’s lib bills.

Obituary for Maud Etta Everett

Funeral services are set for Monday at 10 a.m. at Starbuck Mortuary Chapel for Maud Etta Everett 89 who died yesterday at Marian Hospital Santa Maria. Interment at Lompoc Evergreen Cemetery. She lived in Lompoc 7 years last at 529 South E Street born 1884 in Illinois. Survived by son Edward L. Everett, grandson Edward L. Everett Jr., granddaughter Mrs. Mary L. Braitman and one great granddaughter. husband Charles E. Everett preceded in death.
