The Community Woman's Club hosted a fall fashion show with Edith Moore of Village Fashions presenting professional models. Attendees admired varied ensembles from pantsuits to long evening gowns and a striking all black finale.

Lompoc Jr High PTA Plans Teachers Day Luncheon

State board designated Teachers Day on Sept 28 will be observed by Lompoc Jr High School PTA with a faculty and staff luncheon. Alpha Club to Honor Oldest Pioneer Members in Lompoc

Alpha Club will honor two oldest pioneer members Mrs. William Hall and Mrs. William Zvolanek of Lompoc at a special event this week. Honorary membership goes to Mrs. Vivian Shanklin. The season opener meeting is Wednesday at 11 o'clock led by president Mrs. Harry Joy with luncheon hosted by Mmes. Banner and Toomey.

Archeologist to tell of greatest discovery in Egypt lecture

E Raymond Capt of Camarillo will speak at Lompoc Library about the greatest archaeological discovery, pre dating recorded knowledge by 2000 years. The afternoon talk features a pictorial tour, with his studies in Cadbury Castle Glastonbury Newgrange Egypt and a motion picture presentation. Public lecture in the evening is free.
