The County Park Commission voted to name the Skytt property Hans Christian Andersen Park for a county regional park west of Solvang. Bids on the interior road system are due Sept 7. State Highway planners will build a 326 foot bridge over Refugio Canyon replacing a proposed fill, and reservations for Lake Cachuma campgrounds will be reconsidered. County panel backs renaming Cachuma Dam for C W Bradbury

In Sacramento UPI reports Senate Leader Howard Way removed three veteran senators from the Ethics Committee. Hugh M. Burns Stephen P. Teale and John McCarthy were replaced by Anthony Beilenson Beverly Hills Joseph Kenrick and Clark Bradley. Assembly Speaker Monagan reappointed six members to the two-house panel.
