Memorial for Pike to be led by Episcopal bishop at Grace Cathedral
In San Francisco the Right Rev. C Kilmer Myers will chief celebrate a noon High Requiem Eucharist for the late Bishop James Pike at Grace Cathedral at the request of Pike's widow Diane. Myers earlier refused to bless Pike and Diane Kennedy's 1968 marriage but praised Pike as a reforming figure. Pike died after a desert expedition in Israel.

Alaska quake hits Andreanos Islands with little damage
A strong 6.6 magnitude quake struck the Andreanos Islands west of Adak at 4:57 a.m. EDT causing no injuries or damage. Four shocks of 5.2 to 5.4 preceded it, with aftershocks reported. A tsunami watch was canceled about an hour later. The May 14 event in the same area measured 7.0.

Ramsey says Evans collision punishment was fair
