CC Women to vote on projects at noon meeting

The Chamber of Commerce Women's Division will vote on three projects at the noon luncheon. The focus includes promoting Lompoec as the Flower City and launching a monthly membership newsletter. A 1970 Flower Festival queen contest project will be handled if approved.

Adult beginners square dance class opens in Lompoc

The open session runs Monday evenings with caller Al Rhew guiding adults through 32 weeks of modern Western square dancing. Sponsored by Lompoc Rocking Squares and the Parks and Recreation Dept, the course meets 8 to 10 p.m. at Lompoc City Hall Auditorium. Contact Mrs Ken Roskos at 3-3407 for details.

Beechmann Howell Vows Unite On University of Arizona Campus

Alan Beeckmann and Judith Ann Howell were married in Lom poc First United Methodist Church with Rev. F A Ruder officiating. The couple, both University of Arizona students, will reside in university housing. Guests included family from Bisbee Wisconsin and Peru while attendants wore yellow and gold embellishments and the reception followed at Vandenberg Officers Club.

At Masonic Temple in Lompoc the Miguelito Circle Order of Eastern Star hosted 26 members with Mrs. Fred Hoffman as chairman. Separately Landmark Missionary Baptist Church hosted the wedding of Linda Carroll Dearth to James Lewis Wolters with Rev. Bill Fritz officiating and attendees including Lt. Col. and Mrs. Ray Dearth.

Fisher to judge outdoor art show in Ryan Park

Lompoc Valley Art Association wraps up its spring summer outdoor show this Sunday in Ryan Park with five judged categories. Dick Fisher will judge and Councilwoman Charlotte Benton will purchase the best of show from watercolor, mixed media, oil and graphics entries. sculpture is excluded. Exhibitors may submit unlimited works but must be Art Association members and set up by 10 30 a.m. judging starts 11 a.m. and viewing runs to 5 p.m.

Koreen Cyrus Weds David Donnelly

Koreen Louise Cyrus and David Donnelly wed at First Baptist Church in a double ring ceremony officiated by Rev. Elwood Marvin. Attendants included maid of honor Carmen Berkey of Salem Oregon and bridesmaids Cindy Segerstrom and Gene Moser in dotted Swiss gowns, with a reception in Fellowship Hall. The couple plans a wedding trip to Southern California.

DAR Council Meeting Schedule For Southern California

Captain Henry Sweetser Chapter will be represented by Mrs. Robert P Wetzel at the Southern Council meeting of the California State Society at the Disneyland Hotel on Sept 16. Hosting chapters are Samuel Ramsey of Garden Grove and Richard Bayldon of Seal Beach. State Regent Mrs. Thomas Vernon Coffee will preside. The event opens at 10 30 a.m with a ritual and instruction from state leaders on DAR projects.
