Herbert W. Kalmbach once Nixon’s arsenal attorney was moved from FCI Lompoc to Ft. Holabird in Baltimore on Aug 30. Labor secretary outlines public service jobs plan
Labor Secretary Peter Brennan proposed a billion dollar program to create about 100000 public service jobs if unemployment hits 5.5 percent, and four billion to generate 800000 jobs if unemployment reaches 7 percent. He spoke in Los Angeles at AFL CIO Painters Union event and stressed restraint from all sides to combat inflation while urging continued job training funds.
