Council stalls over Beautification Board seat after four ballots

Lompoc City Council filled three Parks and Recreation posts and one Youth Commission slot, but four ballots failed to select a Beautification and Appearance Commissioner successor to David Schwark. Appointments Committee recommendations, tied votes, and eventual referral to committee marked the vote. The meeting also approved nuisance abatement on three parcels, set new car mileage rates, loading zones, a water main contract, a tract map, and a Belluz property settlement to finance street improvements.
