County approves zoning of unclassified land
The Board of Supervisors voted 3 to 2 to place parcels of unclassified land into Unlimited Agriculture zoning. Fourth District supervisor Beattie and Fifth District supervisor Tunnell opposed, citing a need for individual review rather than a wholesale approach. The action covers parts of Lompoc, Vandenberg AFB, Cuyama Valley, and much of the south coast. The board also deferred on Nov 24 findings regarding the dismissal of county personnel officer Robert Smith.
