Dan Ritter Named Bulldog of the Week at Allan Hancock

Dan Ritter a sophomore defensive end from Lompoc was named Bulldog of the Week by Allan Hancock College coaches and KSMA after his standout play against Porterville. The 6-foot 215-pound lineman helped slow Porterville’s rushing game, often working through double teams to record many tackles. Ritter is a Santa Barbara County League shot put champion in high school and is a second year Bulldog varsity member.

Lompoc Braves cross country team defeated Santa Maria Warriors 18 45 in Santa Maria led by junior Larry Hildenbrand whose 9 15 5 time smashed the old Righetti record by 34 5 seconds. Terry Williams also beat 9 40 as he took second with Vogt Guerrero Bruzdowski Anderson and Westlorn finishing 4th to 8th. Jay Vee and Fresh Soph squads swept 15 50 over Righetti and Warriors as coach Hiatt praised the team effort and the squad extended their league unbeaten string to 36 races. The Braves next head to Palos Verdes for an invitational.
