Randolph Lopez Arrested on Warrant Warrants in Baldwin Park

A Lompoc bar check led to the arrest of Randolph Lopez 23 of Baldwin Park on seven traffic warrants. He was jailed on failure to appear, disobeying signals, speeding, and worn tires charges. Warrants were misdemeanors from other jurisdictions. Bail set at 741 dollars.

Story Time Signups Open At Lompoc Library

The Lompoc Library Children’s Department opens registrations for the final fall session of the 1974 preschool Story Time program. The free program ends registrations on October 31 with sessions starting the next week. Each class caps at 30 children and parents choose Tuesday 1 pm or Wednesday and Friday 10 am slots.

Navarro trial testimony on overnight camping decision at Zaca Lake

Goleta Valley resident Catherine Bolt testified in the Navarro bribery trial that she was disturbed by the Planning Commission vote to reject overnight camping at the Santa Ynez Valley recreation area and stunned by the board chair’s mid vote shift to a day use permit. Other supervisors described varied expectations and influences while Bolt denied writing notes for Navarro and emphasized concerns about fire hazards and compliance with supervisor instructions. A separate item reports a Minute Man II ICBM launch from Vandenberg AFB at 8 p.m. last night by SAC missile crews.
