Visitors and local events in Lompoc area October 1969

The Irvin Bosley family hosted two sets of uncles and wives from Ohio and California and relatives from San Francisco and Long Beach visited. Lompoc Record held its annual barbecue at Miguelito Park with Robert Lilley and Kenneth Stillman managing pits. A senior resources workshop was planned for Oxnard on October 27 with speakers from housing, law, nursing, and education. Baha'is of Lompoc held a Bab birthday potluck at 1313 E Hickory with a program on the Bab and Baha'i faith.

Art Association Ball plans nearly final

The Lompoc Valley Art Association finalizes arrangements for the fourth annual Artist's Ball to be held Saturday November 15 at the Elks Lodge. The Music Association will provide a 16 piece band and a buffet will be served. A 50 prize and other cash awards will be given for best paper product costume. Lompoc square dancers join the Valley Whirlers Square Dance Club in Santa Maria to celebrate its 10th anniversary on Saturday October 25 at 8 p.m. at the Santa Maria Square Dance Center. Halloween puppets aid kidney patients drive

Mrs. Ted Hofmeister of the Lompoc Junior Alpha Club leads a program selling hand puppets filled with 100 wrapped candies and small trick or treat bags for 1 each to benefit the Kidney Foundation. Profits fund medications and dialysis for nephrosis patients. Call RE 6 3127 to order by Wednesday.
