Assignments kept Army suspects out of Korean War

Burglars Hit Three Sites Over Weekend In Lom Poc

Police report three separate burglaries over the weekend. A private home at 127 N E St was robbed of a $300 coin collection and cash in two plastic banks, five coin books and five jars. Brooks Plumbing Co suffered $17 cash stolen from a file cabinet, and Burt's Drive Through at 812 N H St lost $113 from a cabinet safe. Investigation ongoing.

Faircloth targets Miami motels in Mafia linked suits

Lompoc to Continue Public Hearing on Business License Amendments

Park cleanup highlights Scout community service at Ocean Park

More than 600 Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts from Lompoc Valley joined a Saturday cleanup at Ocean Park and Surf beach described as cleaned with a fine tooth comb. Troop 56 of First Methodist Church, including nine handicapped youths, led by Scoutmaster Mike Villalobos and Assistant Scoutmaster John Gaumer, participated along with adults and local supporters.

Accidents injure three in Santa Maria area crashes

Cited incidents Saturday night left Steven Marcotte and John Bassi with minor injuries after their vehicles collided with Brent Crispen's car near Mission Hills. Crispen, uninjured, was cited by the CHP. A second crash on Highway 246 injured Sylvia Butterfield who swerved to avoid a car and overturned off the road.
