Albert Lipsius Heads Lompoc Red Cross Chapter

Albert Lipsius was elected chair man of the Lompoc Chapter of the American Red Cross at the annual meeting held last week. Ronald Fick was named vice-chairman with Arthur Batty as treasurer and Mrs. Chester Covington as secretary.

Women of Moose stage apron parade highlights chapter night

The Women of the Moose held an apron parade judged by Loyal Order of the Moose members with awards for prettiest, practical, and funniest aprons won by Mrs. Harold Dix, Mrs. Donald Clark, and Mrs. Al Willis. New members Alyce Moore and Mrs. Ray mond Sutton joined. In charge was Mrs. Earl Howell who noted progress on the Christmas in October bazaar at Moose home. Senior regent Mrs. Bill Hill thanked publicity chairman Mrs. Robert Kennedy for a successful month. Door prize went to Mr. Bert. Business meeting set for October 27 at 8 p.m.

Furs and Leather Fashion Show for Officer Wives Club

Members and guests at the Vandenberg AFB Officer's Wives Club October luncheon enjoyed a fur and leather fashion show featuring otter sable leopard fox mink and seal coats and suede wear. Hostesses were 4392 Aerospace Support Group wives. Mrs. Orville Howells chaired with Mrs. Earle Sweetland as advisor.

Camp Fire Mothers Host Dessert for Fourth Grade

Camp Fire Group No 51 of Fillmore and La Honda hosted an afternoon dessert at Mrs. Robert Scott’s home. Mothers and daughters enjoyed cake coffee and punch with autumn table decor. Final plans covered a chicken dinner rummage sale crafts and a bazaar with refreshments served afterward.

Eagles discuss Turkey Games plans at Lompoc Auxiliary

At the Alpha Clubhouse the Lompoc Eagles Auxiliary met with vice president Mrs James Thompson presiding The group planned a future ways and means project to collect special cook books Prizes were won by Katherine Sumter and Edna Waal The chapter was draped in memory of Georgia Somers who died September 16 in Reno Nevada.

Miguelito Chapter Elects Officers In 1970 Year

Miguelito Chapter Order of the Eastern Star held an officer election at a recent meeting officiated by Worthy Matron Joanna Brown with acting Worthy Patron Lee Elder. Elected were Irene Coasts as Worthy Matron and Lee Elder as Worthy Patron along with other posts. Installation set for November 1 at the Masonic Temple. Mission Viejo 4-H Clubbers Honor 4-H Week in Local Events

The Mission Viejo 4-H Club of Lompoc celebrated national 4-H Week by wearing 4-H uniforms at church, creating window displays in local stores, and delivering speeches to service clubs about 4-H history purpose and projects. South of the Border floor show by NCO wives club

The Noncommissioned Officer Wives Club staged a South of the Border themed floor show at the Surf Mist ballroom. Featured acts included a Spanish song and dance by Mrs. Robert Kazarski and a Carmen Miranda pantomime by Mrs. Rodney Peterson with dancers, bull, clown, and cowboy roles, plus a Matador dance. Rod ney Peterson served as master of ceremonies and Mrs. Raymond Epps chaired the event.
