County faces more oil drilling and island activity warning

Lompoc Council Allows Half of Vietnam War Moratorium March
The Lompoc City Council approved half of a moratorium march for Saturday at 7:30 p.m. starting at the Veterans Memorial Building with police traffic control on South H Street. The remainder of the march to Ryan Memorial Park will stay on the sidewalk, and no city funds will cover extra police in the half unless volunteers pay overtime. Three young men spoke up for the march, claiming a constitutional right to assemble, while safety concerns were voiced by some council members.

California farmers warned of new pesticide bans next year
