University Women Open New Year with Conference Focus

The California State Division of the American Association of University Women kicks off the new year with a fall conference on Dynamics and Change at the Royal Coach Inn in Anaheim. Lompoc Vandenberg delegates Mrs. Ernest White and Mrs. Richard Nash join Dr. Anne Campbell and Dr. Wilson Riles in addressing members, with sessions on legislative activity, fellowships, and status of women.

Wakefield birthday party honors 84 year old Charles Elwyn Wakefield in the long term care unit at Lompoc Hospital. Attendees include his brothers Clyde and Claude and other unit patients. Wakefield born 1887 in Azusa, long service history with Union Oil, Celtic Company, and the Post Office.
