Youth Club launches seventh year in Santa Ynez Valley
A Thursday launch at Bethania Lutheran Church marks the start of the seventh year of the Santa Ynez Valley Youth Club. The program runs Tuesdays from 4 to 7 pm for grades 3 through 8, with Bible study, music, recreation, and a shared dinner.

Santa Ynez Valley High unveils new facilities and programs
Santa Ynez Valley High School opened three new buildings after a formal acceptance by the school’s building corporation. The $2.18 million project funded by Richard Windmiller includes a theater, teaching stations, a vocational center, a new gym seating 1610, and an outdoor student center. The old gym will remain in use for PE.

Baseball league awards banquet set for Sunday
Members of the Boys Baseball League will be honored at the annual Awards Banquet at 5 p.m. Sunday in the Veterans Memorial Building Solvang. Trophies will be given to champion teams Mustang Bronco and Babe Ruth leagues and All-Star pins. A Sportsmanship Trophy will be awarded to one player from each league. About 600 people are expected to attend reflecting growing youth interest in the Santa Ynez Valley.
