A fall handbag show at Ryan Park for the Lockheed Employees Recreation Association Women’s Club featured Moore’s Department Store styles. The Lompoc Grange Western Booster Night featured awards for best dressed couple Earl and Mrs. Neiman and several other prize winners. A 140 person turnout enjoyed barbecue chicken, potluck, and a Nuts and Bolts musical program directed by Betty McCarthy. Proceeds supported Grange expenses and the next meeting was set for Thursday at 8 p.m.

Cabrillo High School Back to School Night Detailed Schedule
Cabrillo High School holds Back to School night this Thursday October 9 with parents meeting each student’s teachers. Sessions begin at 7 p.m. and run until 8 40 p.m with ten minute bell signals. PTA representatives will be in main buildings and encourage membership. Westwings School also hosts Back to School night October 7 from 7 to 9 p.m in the cafetorium. Parents will greet faculty and progress through classrooms hearing teacher explanations of procedures.

Winners included Virg ie Burger Ann Gowdey and Jean Martin in the first flight tied for fourth Norman Stillman. Second flight top honors went to Norma Staffel with Shirley Johnson and Linda Pluss tied for second. Third flight winner Billie Carlson with R Nita Fritz and Betty Lechner tied for second. Marian Vesser took third. A monthly meeting followed with awards. 36 members participated and partners were drawn.
