Wayne Hastings of 4007 S H St funds an eight year old boy Cao Anh Hung of Vietnam through Foster Parents Plan Inc. The 16 dollar monthly contribution provides material and financial support to strengthen the family unit and aid the child and his relatives.

Newlyweds Gary and Barbara Miller wed in Buellton church

Barbara Lynne Bodger and Gary William Miller married Saturday afternoon September 25 at First United Methodist Church. The Rev. Robert B. Montgomery officiated. The couple and families from Buellton Santa Barbara Solvang and Monterey Park attend. The bride wore Chantilly lace with a Juliet cap and carried carnations and gladioli. The groom’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. Robert W. Miller. The couple plan a Bass Lake honeymoon and work in Solvang and Santa Ynez areas.

Community Concerts Association plans annual membership drive

The Community Concerts Association schedules its October membership drive from the 11th to the 16th with a kickoff dinner at Knights of Pythias Hall. Mrs. Harold Cutting and Mrs. James Haven prepare packets, and Braun's Pharmacy will host ticket sales and a toll line at 6-1433 during campaign week. Concerts set in Lompoc Theater include Longstreth and Escosco duo harpists, Marvellee Cariaga contralto, John Arnol Ford's Comic Opera, and Thomas Schumacher pianist with two afternoon and two evening performances.
