Tornado injures family and damages sites across Georgia and beyond
A tornado touched down in Poseyville Georgia injuring five members of a family as rains extended through the Mississippi Valley. The tornado shattered a mobile home and a shopping center in Winder Georgia suffered $30 000 in damage. Gusts up to 100 mph were reported at a Texas ranch southeast of San Angelo. Hail reached three inches and rainfall totals varied up to six inches with eight inches of hail depth.

Goleta Crash Kills Santa Maria Man and Injures Another
Richard Haggard of Goleta, 45, died later from injuries after a collision on Highway 154 near San Antonio Creek Road. Clyde Gordon Echols, 41, of Santa Maria, died at the scene as both cars caught fire. Haggard and his wife Joan, 45, survived and were treated. Echols’ vehicle swerved across the center line and struck the Haggards.
