Surprise engagement shower for Lompoc official Kenneth Schnell

A City of Lompoc engagement shower for Kenneth Schnell, an administrative aide, and his bride-to-be Linda Martin was hosted this week by city employees. Guests attended at 1021 West North Ave with a yellow and white theme and decorative cake, cappuccino, and thoughtful gifts.

Quota Club program features Cabrillo students in forensics

Lompoc Quota Club hosts an afternoon program by Cabrillo High School pupils guided by forensics coach Steven Ward. Tom Adam presented Old Age, Debbie Johnson performed The Scarlet Ibis, and Theresa Kereakes read Death. Ward introduced by Shirley English. Pat Smith won the donated prize. Members vote to donate toiletries for teens to the Community Health and Welfare Committee for Christmas Cheer, to be collected at the next luncheon.

Party honors two birthdays at Country Club

Over 100 friends joined Mr. and Mrs. Takeshi Shojinaga for birthday celebrations at the Country Club on November 22. Guests praised Shojinaga for his long service as manager since 1965 after retiring from the Air Force at Vandenberg.
