South Coast supervisors Frost and Slater will again seek a motion directing county counsel to join Santa Barbara in obtaining a full environmental impact report before resuming drilling on State leases in the Santa Barbara Channel. Doctors say Nixon not able to testify

A panel of three physicians said former President Richard Nixon cannot testify in the Watergate cover up trial and likely cannot until February 16, 1975. They noted deposition could be delayed to January 6, 1975 with two one hour sessions, and urged rest and medical oversight for any deposition or travel.

General Motors to Cut Jobs and Close Plants in January

General Motors announced a new round of layoffs and plant closings for January, eliminating second shifts at two assembly plants and adjusting schedules at four others. The moves will raise total indefinite layoffs to 64,000 in January, with industry totals near 112,000. GM expects output of about 385,000 vehicles despite cutbacks, ahead of last January. A district report by the Office of Pupil Personnel Services finds strong similarities between Lompoc and Cabrillo High Schools in curriculum outcomes and student attitudes. Graduating rates and college plans are close, with about 66 to 80 percent completing four years and roughly 65 to 75 percent seeking higher education. students praise courses and counseling, but administration ratings lag behind.
