Deputies search for two thieves after roasts about Thanksgiving on Roy C. Bobbit Ranch near Highway 246 and Sweeney Road. Two 25rkers from the ranch valued at $80 stolen, possibly from the same litter as prior five pound pigs. Several arrests listed for DUI leaving scene collision and marijuana sale, with bail amounts and court dates. Basketball and ice hockey weekend at Magic Mountain promoted for local youths.

Community events and concerts in Lompoc this December

The Lompoc Valley Chamber and Jaycees schedule a November 30 Christmas Parade with 8:30 a.m. registration at Lompoc Shopping Center. Other events include Rose Parade tours, La Purisima pancake breakfast, Transcendental Meditation lecture, Red Cross luncheon, Lompoc Civic Theater Night Watch shows, Art Alley, Californians concert, Cabrillo holiday fair, and Cabrillo basketball fundraiser in Hawaii. The County Planning Commission discussed proposed revisions to the county sign ordinance after referral from the Board of Supervisors. Airport noise plan presented by Santa Maria district

The County Planning Commission accepted a 10 point noise control program for inclusion in the General Plan. Everett Wally Berry, Santa Maria Public Airport District general manager, urged countywide support for quieting jet engine noise and avoiding subdivisions near airports. The panel discussed buffer zones and other measures to separate homes from airport activity.

Midtown Development Co. gains a one year extension to January 18 1975 for its 180 lot Goleta Valley plan amid water moratorium fears.
