The November meeting of Lompoc Creative Writers will be 1 30 p m Wednesday Nov 28 in the Public Library multi purpose room. Betty Laurent Valley Life editor of the Lompoc Record will speak on How to Write Good Publicity.
Newlyweds Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Scott Johnson wed in the home of friends in Bozeman with Judge James J. Serenar officiating. The bride Lesley Ann Northrop is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James R.S. Northrop of Mission Hills. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Johnson. The gown featured empire styling with Spanish lace and a mantilla veil. The ceremony included a luncheon reception at the Mitchell home and covered attire, attendants, and family members. The bride's background includes Cabrillo High School and Allan Hancock College. she works as an ad writer for KUHN in Hardin, while the groom is a construction sub-contractor.

A Christmas corsage making demonstration entertained Community Woman's Club Home and Garden Section members Tuesday. Under Dottie Chilson guidance seven corsages were completed and prizes awarded to lucky winners including Pearl Price and Leah Kolding. Co-hostesses included Mrs. Price and Alice Jauncey. The next meeting will be December 18 at Mrs. Carlson’s home with dessert at 1 p.m.
Stan Rowett of Vandenberg AFB spoke on his thesis Fatherless Homes and their Effect on Offspring at a Parents Without Partners meeting. Members shared experiences, with seven Lompoc attendees at the Central Regional meeting and Santa Maria turkey dinner November 10.
