Kennedy and Connally Shot in Dallas Drive-by Incident
President Kennedy and Texas Governor Connally were shot while touring Dallas in an open limousine. Kennedy was taken to Parkland Hospital in critical condition with Mrs. Kennedy at his side. Connally was also wounded. Reports described rapid gunfire and chaos as Secret Service tried to secure the scene and hospital staff prepared for emergency surgery.
