Employees from the Credit Bureau of Lompoc Valley attended Associated Credit Bureau seminars in Fresno. Reporting division participants were Mrs. Roy King, Mrs. Patricia Romero, Mrs. Janice Skelton, and Mrs. Georgene Sousa. collection service division attendees were Mrs. Geraldine Coleman, Mrs. Sharon McVicar, and Mrs. Mary Scherer. Each received a certificate upon completion. Also noted is the 4 H alumni reunion for Santa Barbara County leaders and members from 1960 to 1968 at the Lompoc Elks Lodge on December 4 with a no host cocktail hour, dinner, dancing, and reservations due by November 25.
Mrs. Jean Seaton of Santa Barbara headlines the Futura Chapter National Secretaries Association dinner tonight at the Santa Maria Holiday Inn San Simeon Room. Social hour begins 6:30 PM with dinner at 7 PM. admission open to office workers and secretarial students.
Miss Susan Lorraine Ortiz and Larry Ray Mantrina wed in a double ring ceremony on Saturday November 6 at the Little Chapel of the Flowers Las Vegas Nevada. The bride's parents are Mr and Mrs Paul A Ortiz of 309 North Sixth Street. The groom's parents are Mr and Mrs R D Mantrina of 329 S D Street.
Mrs Schuyler is named noble grand and Mrs William Schuyler chosen for the post. Alf Rande vice grand, Helen Benhart recording secretary, Ada Edman financial secretary, Marguerite Bounds treasurer also named. Final plans for the annual turkey dinner at IOOF Hall discussed. Serving hours 6 to 8 p.m. Tickets available by calling Mrs Benhart at 6 3322 or other lodge members.
Lompoc Toastmistress Club held a luncheon at the Village Inn with Gail Benson presiding. Winnie Massey spoke on Body Language while Merrijane Pritchard led the program and Anita Cox presided at the Santa Maria meeting.
Mr and Mrs Harris Handorf observe their golden wedding anniversary at 411 S M St now in Lompoc after long service in Kankakee Illinois. Their daughter Joyce Copas and husband Paul plan a Sunday reception after morning services at Valley of the Flowers United Church of Christ with a tribute and anniversary cake.
Dr. Clara Lee Edgar of Pacific State Hospital will lecture on Sensory and Perceptual Motor Training for the Mentally Retarded. Slides will illustrate methods used with severely retarded children and transferable techniques for all ages. The talk, at 7 30 p m in Fillmore School Building E, targets teachers nurses parents and others involved.
