Frost or freeze warnings spread to the Middle Atlantic states overnight while remaining in effect in the South for a second night. Temperatures fell to the low 30s and 20s from Delaware to West Virginia and as far south as Mississippi and northwestern Florida. Clear skies dominated with a few showers near the Canadian border. California and Florida reported the warmest readings in the 50s. Early temperatures ranged from 19 at Beckley West Virginia to 63 at Key West Florida and Los Alamitos California.
