A local effort in Lompoc Valley organizes recycling through the Youth Ecology Action Group with support from the Lompoc Valley Boys Club the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints the Sierra Club and Citizens for the Preservation of Lompoc Surroundings. An eco-center at 308 N. H St houses bottles cans and papers donated for reuse. Leadership spans Mrs Arneta Crossman Miss Barbara Jellow and Bob Hickenbotham among others as organizers urge individual contributions and community participation.
